Timely completion of the Projects while maintaining quality is utmost priority; says Tripura CM

Agartala Sept 04: In a bid to ensure swift completion of various under construction projects in the state capital, the chief minister Dr Manik Saha on Monday visited the construction sites.

He inspected the ongoing construction work of flats built under TUDA’s Township Project, Light House Project adjacent o ICP and multi-level car parking at Old Motor Stand, Agartala.

The chief minister also visited Matangini Pritilata Auditorium to check upon the ongoing renovation work.

He directed the concerned officials to ensure that quality of work is maintained in renovation of the Auditorium.

Dr Saha then visited the Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhavan where he noticed few abnormalities in Hall No.1 that needs to be addressed at the earliest.  Accordingly, the chief minister directed the officials to start the renovation work of Hall No. 1, the busiest Hall taken up for several programs for which he has already sanctioned funds earlier.

He then also paid a brief visit to the Government Music College and Art College. Talking to the reporters about his visit, the chief minister expressed amazement over the diverse quality of crafts made by the students.

“Students of Government Music College and Art College are having finest talents. The sculptures and crafts made by the students of Art College are amazing. We are thinking of setting up a counter to sell those products which will help the students to earn money also”, he said.

Talking about his visit to the construction sites of various projects including the Township Project and Light House Project, the chief minister said, “The works are going on in full pace. All flats under construction in Kaman Chowmani have been booked and sixty percent of the flats under construction in Kunjaban also have been booked”.

“Completion of these two flats will be highly beneficial for the residents of Agartala”, he said.

“The work of multi-level car parking at the old motor stand is also going on at a fast pace. Completion of the project will prove to be boon for the city dwellers as it is solve the parking issues”, said the CM.

He also informed that the flats under Light House Project will be handed over to the owners by the end of April 2024.

Apart from providing necessary instructions to the authorities of the construction company for speedy completion of both the projects, the chief minister strictly asked then to maintain the quality of work.

Chief Minister’s secretary Pradip Kumar Chakraborty, Urban Development Department secretary Abhishek Singh, West Tripura District Magistrate Debapriya Bardhan, Agartala Municipal Commissioner Sailesh Kumar Yadav and other officials of different departments accompanied the chief minister during the day’s visits.
