The first aarti of Ram temple will be done with Rajasthan’s ghee. , The ghee of the cows that were about to be slaughtered will reach Ayodhya in 21 days in 108 chariots.

In January 2024, the wait of several decades for Ram devotees will end. Ramlala will sit in the main temple of Ayodhya. Rajasthan will also participate in this historical festival.

The ghee that will be used in the first Aarti and Mahayagya to be held in the temple will be sent from Jodhpur. The eternal flame of the temple will also be lit with this ghee.

For this, 6 quintals i.e. 600 kg of ghee will be sent to Ayodhya. The special thing is that ghee will not be sent in train, bus or car but in 108 chariots, in which there will be 216 bulls. These chariots will leave from Jodhpur for Ayodhya with ghee on 27th November.

Another special thing is that the cows whose ghee will be used for the first Aarti of Ram temple, would not have been alive today, if a saint had not saved them. It is a 20 year old resolution of the same saint, due to which Rajasthan is going to be a part of this historic event.

Maharishi Sandipani had taken this resolution 20 years ago. Now they are going to complete it.

20 year old resolution of a saint

Sri Sri Maharishi Sandipani Ram Dharam Goshala is on Jaipur Road near Banar, Jodhpur. This cowshed is being run by Maharishi Sandipani Maharaj. Maharishi Sandipani Maharaj told that he had taken a pledge 20 years ago that whenever Ram temple is built in Ayodhya, he will take pure local cow ghee for it.

Meanwhile, in the year 2014, he stopped a truck full of cows, which was being taken from Jodhpur for cow slaughter. There were about 60 cows in the truck.

Maharaj freed these cows and took them to the nearby cowshed. Everyone refused to keep these cows. Finally he decided that he would start a cow shed himself and rear these cows.

First people made fun, then supported

During this time, when he started getting hopeful about the construction of Ram temple, he started collecting ghee from those 60 cows. Maharaj told that it was also a resolution that whatever ghee they had, they would take it on bulls.

When Maharaj told the people around him about his vow, they asked many questions and made fun of him. How will the journey be completed? Where will you get so much ghee from?

Maharaj continued collecting ghee without being distracted by people’s questions. In 2016, when people realized the seriousness of Maharaj’s resolution, they came to the cowshed. When they saw that Maharaj had started collecting ghee, even those people who earlier used to make fun of him started cooperating.

First kept in pots, then steel tanks, herbs for safe storage.

Maharaj Sandipani told that initially he was collecting ghee in a pot. Due to the heat, the ghee started melting and the pot also started getting cracks. Even the ghee got spoiled once or twice.

On this, it was learned from another saint that ghee can be stored safely for many years by using the juice of five different herbs. In such a situation, he went to Haridwar and brought back other herbs including Brahmi and betel leaves. Prepared their juice and mixed it with ghee.

After this, this ghee was put in steel tanks and kept at AC temperature (16 degrees). It is the result of safe storage that even after 9 years this ghee is the same as before. Right now these are stored in about 9 steel tanks.

The diet of these cows was also changed. Apart from fodder, things other than fodder have been banned.

Diet and routine of cows changed for ghee

Maharaj Sandipani told that if ghee is adulterated then it spoils quickly. The desi ghee he has prepared has been made according to ancient tradition, due to which it does not spoil.

He said that to maintain the purity of ghee, the diet of the cows was also changed. For the last 9 years, the cows were given only green fodder, dry fodder and water.

Apart from these three things, everything else was banned. Not only this, people coming to the cow shed were also given clear instructions not to feed anything brought from outside to these cows.

Ghee is boiled every three years and utensils are cleaned.

The number of cows has increased from 60 to 350 in 9 years. Most of these cows are those who were victims of road accidents or were ill. As the number of cows increased, the quantity of ghee also started increasing.

Ghee is not only preserved with the juice of herbs, but apart from this, the whole ghee is boiled by adding five herbs once every three years.

Ghee utensils are cleaned thoroughly. This is the reason why this ghee did not spoil even after so many years. Apart from this, the room where this ghee is being stored is also clean and has ample ventilation.

He went to Ayodhya and expressed his resolve, the team also came here to see it.

Maharaj Sandipani told that a lot of ghee had been prepared, but the biggest challenge was how to transport this ghee to the Ram temple to be built in Ayodhya. Prescribed State Co-Minister Mahendra Singh Rajpurohit said that a team of one member from Jodhpur went to Ayodhya.

Met officials of Ram Mandir Construction Trust in Ayodhya and told them about Maharaj’s resolution. The team also went to the office of UP CM Yogi Adityanath and was given information about ghee storage.

After this a team from Ayodhya came to Jodhpur. Here understood ghee storage and the entire process in the cowshed. After this the team agreed. After getting the consent, a plan was made to take the ghee to Ayodhya by oxen.

After this, the people of the village keep the havan material collected in a temple. From where the chariot immediately leaves for the next village carrying the havan material.

Havan material will include a handful of sesame seeds, sugar, rice, barley, Google incense, camphor, gota (dry coconut), five sticks of Khejri tied in roli thread. Villagers are donating any material as per their wish. If someone wants to donate the entire Havan material, he can also do so.

Akhand Jyot is lit on hand during Navratri.

Maharaj Sandipani told that for 22 years, every 6 months, during Navratri, I light Akhand Jyot on my hand for nine days. It was during this ritual that the resolution was taken that Ram temple should be built in Ayodhya and mother cow should be protected. Now the construction of Ram temple is going to be completed in January, hence he decided to go to Ayodhya. Collection of havan material was started from every house, in which people are getting full support.

24 hour recitation of Srimad Bhagwat Geeta in cowshed

Bhagavad Gita is recited 24 hours a day in the cowshed. Maharaj told that the reason for this is that God’s blessings are showered on the mother cow by listening to Bhagwat Geeta. May their mind be calm, should they eat fodder while thinking about God and give milk, which prepares ghee like nectar.
