Today (17 September) is Vishwakarma Jayanti. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched PM Vishwakarma Kaushal Samman Yojana. People associated with 18 businesses will benefit from this scheme. For this, an outlay (fund) of Rs 13 thousand crore will be created.

For the program, Home Minister Amit Shah stayed in Ahmedabad, Rajnath Singh in Lucknow, Mahendra Nath Pandey in Varanasi, Smriti Irani in Jhansi, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat in Chennai, Bhupendra Yadav in Jaipur, Narendra Singh Tomar in Bhopal, S Jaishankar in Thiruvananthapuram. Nitin Gadkari stayed in Nagpur, Ashwini Vaishnav in Bhubaneswar and Anurag Thakur in Shimla.

Loan of one lakh will be available at 5% interest
Rs 13,000 crore will be spent on the Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Kaushal Samman Yojana from the financial year 2023-24 to 2027-28. About 30 lakh traditional artisans across the country will benefit under the scheme. In the first phase of the scheme, workers will get a loan of Rs 1 lakh at 5% interest rate. At the same time, in the next phase this amount will be increased to Rs 2 lakh. Under the scheme, artisans and craftsmen will also get training.
PM had mentioned on Independence Day
Prime Minister Narendra Modi had announced the Vishwakarma Yojana in his speech from the Red Fort on Independence Day. The government has approved PM Vishwakarma Yojana for financial help to small workers and skilled people. This scheme will be implemented jointly by three ministries, MSME, Skill Development and Finance Ministry.

Ayushman Bhava: Campaign starts from today
Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya had talked about starting the ‘Ayushman Bhava’ campaign from September 17. During this period, free health checkup of people will be done at more than 1 lakh 17 thousand health centers across the country. This campaign will run for 15 days.
According to Mandaviya, under the ‘Ayushman Bhava’ campaign, Ayushman fair will be organized at all health and wellness centres. All poor and middle class people will be examined in the Ayushman Fair. Besides, Medical College Health Camp will be organized in all block level hospitals. During this fortnight, cleanliness campaign will be conducted in all the health centers across the country.
