West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has been advised rest by doctors for 10 days. After returning from a 12-day tour of Spain and Dubai, she reached Kolkata’s government hospital SSKM for treatment. An official here said that tests were conducted regarding his knees. Only after this he has been advised to rest.

Actually, Mamata Banerjee got injured in her left knee during her trip abroad in June. Since then, he was continuously having problems in his knee.

Mamata Banerjee suffered a left knee injury on June 27 while traveling abroad. He had also suffered an injury to the same knee while landing from a helicopter earlier this year. Her knees were examined at SSKM Hospital. The examination revealed an injury to the knee ligament of Mamta’s left leg. There were also marks of ligament injury in his left hip joint. She was advised to be admitted to the hospital, but she said that she would continue her treatment by staying at home.

Mamata was returning after addressing a public meeting, when she got hurt
Due to bad weather and low visibility, Mamata’s helicopter had to make an emergency landing at Sevok airbase near Siliguri. While landing from the helicopter, he got injured in his waist and leg. She was going to Bagdogra after addressing a public meeting in Krinti, Jalpaiguri.

The helicopter started wobbling due to bad weather
DGCA said on the accident that CM Mamata was traveling on EC-145 helicopter of Heligo Charters Private Limited. Due to heavy rain and low cloud cover in Bagdogra, the helicopter had to be diverted to Sevok. The helicopter started wobbling. For this reason the pilot decided to make an emergency landing. There is an army helicopter base at Sevoke. The helicopter landed there. This was a precautionary landing.

After this incident, Mamta reached Bagdogra airport by road and from there reached Kolkata by plane.
