A Russian plane had to make an emergency landing in a field on Tuesday. No one was seriously injured in the incident. The Ural Airlines plane, an Airbus A320 carrying 170 passengers, was flying from the Black Sea resort of Sochi to Omsk in eastern Siberia, officials said. Crew members reported a problem with the hydraulic system and asked for permission to land the plane at Novosibirsk’s Tolmachevo Airport, which has a longer runway.

Ural Airlines Director General Sergei Skuratov said the pilots later realized they did not have enough fuel and decided to land in a field about 200 kilometers west of Novosibirsk.
