In the meeting held in August, the seats of Chhattisgarh were divided into 4 categories.

  • In the meeting, 90 seats of Chhattisgarh were divided into 4 categories – A, B, C, D. A category contains those seats which BJP has won every time. B category includes those seats on which BJP has both won and lost. BJP is weak on C category seats. At the same time, BJP has never been able to win D category seats.
  • In the meeting of August 16, 22 seats of B and C and 5 seats of D category were discussed. According to sources, with this division the party will be able to focus more on the weaker seats. BJP can give a chance to new candidates on half the seats in Chhattisgarh in the assembly elections.
  • This time BJP is giving full preference to castes. In the candidate selection, it is seen that which caste he belongs to, what is the caste category, what is the number of voters, what is his influence in other communities.
  • Strong contenders have been asked to start election preparations like collecting income tax-property details, criminal records, education and certificates. Also, all the information should be solid and documented, so that the nomination form cannot be rejected.
This time, BJP will decide the candidates for the lost seats in September itself, so that they can get time.
