It is election year. Whatever you ask for, the government will be present. You will get ample compensation. It has been found in previous election years also. This time also you will get it. Anyway, at some places money is being sent directly into the accounts of women and girls and at some places mobile phones are reaching their homes. What enmity is there with the farmers? Will give it to them also.

On the other hand, there are most of the areas in the country where there is a fear of less rainfall. One report estimates that inflation is going to increase further due to less rainfall. In the last one year alone, pulses have become costlier by thirty-seven percent and rice by nine percent. Now elections in five states are looming. Unaccounted money is going to come into the market. Inflation will definitely increase. But we Indians no longer worry about this inflation. Why even do it? Do UPI, go ahead! Who has the responsibility to ask or find out the price? Now people don’t even remember that saying, which was heard again and again in poor and middle class families – that if you go out and see, you will know the prices of flour and pulses! Now no one asks anyone’s price. In this season of rains and elections, if any poet would have said something on the rains, it would have been, “I don’t like these rains!” Humidity makes me feel bad. That puts out my fire!”

The same poet also had a lot to say about elections. Something like this – “The throats of darkness are screaming. …and the time has come to open the door. Is this prose or poetry? No notes to count again and again like a cashier! When will the light finally emerge from the dark darkness? When will the shining light of democracy finally fade away?”

Well, no matter what any poet says, elections will take place and will be held in their own style. There will be a lot of excitement in election meetings during the campaign. Leaders will come. All the leaders want is that people vote after seeing the party. If the candidates are voted after examining them, the parties fear losing seats. Then there is political turmoil. Governments also change. They also turn around.

A meeting of the screening committee was held on Tuesday in Delhi regarding the selection of Congress candidates for the assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh.

If we look at the situation in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh, the election environment in all the three places is opposite to each other. Talking about Madhya Pradesh, here the government feels that it has got the key to power in the form of women voters. Cash money in the accounts and a gas cylinder for four hundred and fifty rupees can prove to be the divine key of a divine lock! As far as Congress, which has been in opposition for a long time, is concerned, it says that the wind is ours. This time there is such a huge crowd of ticket seekers that was not seen in the last three elections. Congress leaders remain surrounded by their crowd throughout the day.

On the other hand, if we go to Rajasthan, BJP has not yet been able to decide under whose leadership the elections will be fought in the state. Although, like Madhya Pradesh, the Rajasthan government has also left no stone unturned in looting the treasury, yet the BJP has no support except the Rajasthani custom of “this time he, that time I” i.e. changing power every time. Here the government is moving so hurriedly that a crocodile postpones its arrival at the inauguration of the Kota River Front because of a press conference. That too at midnight.

The air of Chhattisgarh is very clean. It would not be appropriate to say this clear word in detail right now, but political experts know very well that whose path to victory is clear this time in Chhattisgarh and who is going to be cleared. However, the tradition of distributing tickets has started one or two months before the elections. There is a possibility that this tradition will continue in future also. If tickets are issued on time, it will be of great convenience to the voters. People will get time to evaluate the candidates thoroughly and it will also help to a great extent in making the right choice.
