Congress Working Committee (CWC) meeting is going to be held in Hyderabad today on 16th September. Congress will also hold a press conference on Sunday 17 September. According to Congress leaders KC Venugopal and Jairam Ramesh, there will be discussions in several phases in the CWC meeting, in which the strategy for the upcoming Assembly and Lok Sabha elections will be made.

17th September is also Telangana Day. Regarding this, Congress said that both Modi and Telangana government are two sides of a coin. Both are corrupt. Last month, on August 20, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge had announced the CWC. This is the first meeting after this.

There are assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, Telangana and Mizoram later this year. There is BJP government in Madhya Pradesh, Congress in Chhattisgarh-Rajasthan, BRS in Telangana and Mizo National Front-BJP government in Mizoram.

Telangana is the most corrupt state in the country
Venugopal said- This is the first time that after many years the CWC meeting is being held outside Delhi. As soon as Telangana state was formed, people know how Bharat Nationalist Samiti (BRS) came to power. Telangana government is the most corrupt state in the country. The people here are fed up with the government. We will give 6 guarantees to the people of Telangana. It is expected that Congress will get majority in the elections here.

This is the new CWC

CWC was announced on 20 August

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge announced the Congress Working Committee (CWC) on August 20. Sonia, Rahul, Priyanka are included in this committee of 39 members. At the same time, former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh (90) has also been retained in the committee.

Digvijay Singh and Kamleshwar Patel from Madhya Pradesh, Tamradhwaj Sahu from Chhattisgarh and Sachin Pilot from Rajasthan have got place in CWC. Elections are to be held in all three states later this year. Kharge has also included Shashi Tharoor, who contested against him, in the working committee. There are total 84 names in CWC. These include the names of CWC members, permanent invitees, general secretary, special invitees and in-charges.
