Stone pelting on Shiva’s ride in Kheda, Gujarat | 9 injured including 5 policemen, more than a dozen miscreants detained

An incident of stone pelting has come to light during the ride of Lord Shiva in Thasara taluka of Kheda district of Gujarat. The situation worsened in Thasara on Friday evening when people from other communities started pelting stones at the devotees who were taking out the procession. After this both the communities came face to face.

9 people including 5 policemen have been injured in stone pelting, who have been admitted to a private hospital. As soon as information about stone pelting was received, heavy police force reached the spot. In this case, the police have detained about a dozen people from both the communities. The search for other accused is going on after examining the CCTV footage.

After the stampede due to stone pelting, shoes and slippers were scattered in the streets.
