The Prakash Parv of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji is being celebrated at the Golden Temple on Saturday. More than 1.5 lakh devotees are likely to pay obeisance at Darbar Sahib on this day. Sri Guru Arjun Dev Ji, the fifth Guru of the Sikhs, illuminated Sri Guru Granth Sahib in Darbar Sahib in 1604. From then till now, every year the Prakash Parv of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji is celebrated with full devotion.
Even before this festival, the Golden Temple has been decorated with beautiful flowers. Flowers have been brought from abroad to decorate the Golden Temple. These flowers have been imported from Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore and Australia, with which 180 artisans are working day and night to decorate the Golden Temple.
More than 100 quintals of flowers are being used to decorate the Golden Temple, which were loaded in 10 trucks and brought to Amritsar. Not only the Golden Temple, the Amritsar Airport named after Shri Guru Ramdas Ji has also been decorated with flowers.
