Natural disaster has caused all-round devastation in Himachal. Congress National General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi, during her visit to Himachal, said that Prime Minister Modi should not do politics with the state during the disaster. If the central government declares a national disaster, it will provide a lot of relief to the state.

Priyanka Gandhi spoke to the disaster affected people in Kullu and Manali on Tuesday morning and learned about their pain. After this she reached Pandoh in Mandi, where during the heavy rains in the month of July, the water of BBMB Dam had destroyed people’s houses and their fertile land.

After Mandi, Priyanka was scheduled to go to Solan. But, due to bad weather the helicopter could not fly to Solan. After this she reached Shimla directly from Mandi. Now Priyanka Gandhi is staying at her house in Chharabra, Shimla.

Tomorrow also Priyanka Gandhi can visit the disaster affected areas of Shimla and Solan. If Congress sources are to be believed, Priyanka Gandhi’s program for tomorrow is being decided. The program will be decided by late evening.

CM and Congress State President received at Chandigarh Airport

Earlier, at around 8 in the morning, Priyanka Gandhi reached Chandigarh from Delhi. Here Himachal Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu and Congress State President Pratibha Singh welcomed him. The three leaders from Chandigarh reached Bhuntar in Kullu. During this, Himachal Congress in-charge Rajeev Shukla, PWD Minister Vikramaditya Singh were also present.
