428 people have lost their lives
So far 428 people have lost their lives in this disaster. There are many families whose entire members have left this world in this disaster. More than 16,000 domesticated cattle in the state have also become victims of this disaster. These include more than 10,000 poultry birds and more than 6,000 cows, buffaloes and other domestic animals.
More than 13,000 houses and buildings have been completely or partially damaged. Shimla to Parwanoo NH and Kullu-Manali-Leh highway have been completely damaged. There has been loss worth crores of rupees due to heavy rains in the state. The state government is making every possible effort at its level to deal with this devastation.
Small children are donating from piggy bank to relief fund: Priyanka
Priyanka Gandhi wrote that the people of Himachal have been seen facing the crisis shoulder to shoulder with the state government. People are restoring the roads by donating their labor.
