New Volkswagen Taigun Sound Edition: Volkswagen, after launching its Tigun in Trail Edition in the Indian market, has now introduced it in Sound Edition as well. Along with this, Sound Edition has also been given in Volkswagen Virtus. The Sound Edition notably adds several cosmetic changes along with a host of features. The Volkswagen Taigun Sound Edition is going to be available only in limited numbers. Even before this, the company has also introduced Volkswagen Taigun with matte finish edition, which is available for sale in the Indian market.
The company is introducing the new edition to improve its sales.
Volkswagen Taigun Sound Edition price in India
Volkswagen Tigun Sound Edition is priced in the Indian market at Rs 16.33 lakh for the manual transmission and Rs 17.90 lakh for the automatic version, ex-showroom. You can book it through online website or by visiting your nearest dealership. The manual variant is going to cost you Rs 49000 and the automatic variant is going to cost you Rs 55000.
Volkswagen Taigun Sound Edition
As an external change, it has been introduced in Sound Edition with some graphics and four new color options. Carbon Steel Grey, Lava Red, Rising Blue and Wild Cherry Red. And apart from this, Roof rail and ORVM have been introduced in white color only.
Apart from this, we also get to see some graphics changes along with batching of sound additions at the back. Apart from this, no other design changes have been made, it continues to carry all its existing design elements.
Volkswagen Taigun Sound Edition Cabin and Features list
We are not going to see any kind of change inside the cabin either. Inside the cabin, all the existing features are still operational.
Among the features, it gets an 8-inch digital instrument cluster with a 10-inch touch screen infotainment system and Apple CarPlay connectivity with wireless Android Auto. Other highlights include connected car technology, cruise control, single pane voice assist sunroof, automatic climate control, height adjustable driver seat with ventilated sheet and ambient lighting.
In the Sound Edition, you are given power seats in the front row and 7 speakers with subwoofer and amplifier as additional features.

Volkswagen Taigun Sound Edition Safety features
Volkswagen Taigun has achieved 5 star safety rating in Global Endcap, due to which it is included in the list of safe vehicles in the Indian market. Other safety features include six air bags, electronic stability control, tire pressure monitoring system, rear view parking camera with seat belt reminder as standard and ISOFIX child seat anchors.
Volkswagen Taigun Sound Edition Engine
There has been no change in its engine under the bonnet. It is powered with its current engine options. 1.0 liter TSI petrol engine that is tuned to generate 115 bhp and 175 Nm of torque. This engine option comes with six speed manual and automatic torque converter unit.
volkswagen Taigun Sound Edition has been designed on the basis of Dynamic Line, due to which it gets only 1.0 liter turbo petrol engine.
In its normal variant, you get 1.5 liter turbo petrol engine which generates 150 bhp and 250 Nm of torque. And comes with seven speed duct gear box with six speed manual. This engine option has been given in the recently launched Trail Edition.
