Monu Manesar Case Update; Junaid Nasir Murder Case Rajasthan Police | Police taking 223 KM away instead of video conferencing; Petition filed in court

Police taking Monu Manesar from the court.

Monu Manesar, the main accused in the Nasir-Junaid murder case of Rajasthan, is afraid of an encounter with the Rajasthan Police. Monu has filed a petition in the Kaman Court of Rajasthan regarding his safety. The petition has raised questions about the intentions of the police in allegedly transferring him to the high security jail of Ajmer without the approval of the court. The distance from Ajmer to Kaman is 223 kilometers.

It takes more than 3 hours to cover this distance. Monu’s lawyer has claimed that Monu was appearing in the court through video conferencing, but now taking him on the road and driving such a distance is in danger to his life.

The hearing could not take place

Monu Manesar’s bail petition was kept for hearing on September 27, but the hearing could not take place due to suspension of work in the court. Now the court has fixed the date of September 30 for the hearing on Monu’s bail. On this day, Rajasthan Police will bring Monu from Ajmer to Kaman court for hearing by road.

Monu shifted to Ajmer on 22 September

Monu Manesar, lodged in Bharatpur jail on charges of Nasir-Junaid murder case, was shifted to Ajmer’s high security jail on 22 September. Bharatpur police took him to Ajmer under tight security. Monu Manesar has been kept under CCTV surveillance in a solitary cell in the high security jail. Jail Superintendent Paras Jangid said that all arrangements have been made for Monu’s security in the jail.

These questions regarding Monu’s safety

Monu’s lawyer said that he has moved the court against the Police Act for shifting Monu to another jail without any reason or cause. The police should have taken permission from the court before doing this. The lawyer raised the question that who can stop them from carrying out any encounter or pre-planned accident on the way?

On one hand, Rajasthan Police says it is not safe for him to stay in the cell with other prisoners or appear in court, and on the other, they take him to another jail late in the evening.

Monu could not come to Haryana due to security reasons

When Gurugram Police went to take Monu on production warrant, Rajasthan Police cited lack of adequate security. Rajasthan Police has cited lack of adequate security cover for taking Monu Manesar to Pataudi in Gurugram. A day later he was shifted to Ajmer jail. However, a decision on Monu’s production warrant will now be taken on October 7.
