There is still time for the election dates to be announced, but on behalf of the BJP, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has, in a way, sounded the trumpet of the election campaign. On Monday, Modi roared first in Madhya Pradesh and later in Rajasthan. In Bhopal he described himself as the guarantee of every promise. Said- Modi is the guarantee of bringing every promise on the ground and getting it implemented properly. Till date, Congress has neither fulfilled any promise nor are its promises practical. They are everything.

On the other hand, in Jaipur, Rajasthan, Modi lashed out at the Gehlot government there. Said- Gehlot government has pushed back the future of the youth in the last five years. According to the other work done by this government, it deserves zero number.

No major meetings of other opposition leaders have been held in these states so far. In Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan, the main fight is between Congress and BJP. In such a situation, no one knows whether Congress has an answer to Modi’s allegations or not. Who will answer? Whether it will be given or not is also not clear yet.

Overall, if we do the electoral and political calculations of the last one week, it is clearly visible that at present BJP is leading. From convening a special session of Parliament, getting the Women’s Reservation Bill passed undisputedly, to joining the election campaign by invoking mother power, the BJP has created a stir. No Congress meeting or rally was seen.

It is not that Congress has a shortage of star campaigners these days. Actually, it is a matter of will power. It is about planning. It is about thinking and implementing things holistically. The mastery that BJP has achieved in all this is not visible even in the entire opposition, leave alone Congress. Maybe time will teach this to the opposition but it cannot be said how far BJP would have reached by then!

The biggest problem of the opposition is that it has no counter to Modi. If a leader does not have all these qualities of connecting with the common man, talking to him, recognizing his pain, then the common man will not be able to see and understand him with affection. Modi has all these qualities. Whether the opposition leaders possess such qualities or not, the results of the coming elections will prove.
