Dharmanagar Sept 01: Police of Bazarichara police station near Churaibari Watch Post detained one person with dry cannabis.
According to the details, police stopped a bus numbered AS-01-JC-0979 carrying passengers from Agartala to Guwahati at Churaibari Naka Point. Searching the bags of a passenger on suspicion, police recovered 6kg 776 gm of dried cannabis (ganja) in 7 packets.
The market value of the recovered contraband item is around Rs 70,000, said police.
A resident of Bihar, Sudhakar Kumar was also arrested for carrying cannabis.
Police informed that the detained will be produced before the court and interrogated for further information.
