CJI DY Chandrachud said- It is wrong to say that the Supreme Court Collegium does not have the data to evaluate the judges being considered for appointment. We have created a platform in which 50 judges of the country have been evaluated to be appointed as Supreme Court judges. Our objective is to prepare alternative parameters for the selection of Supreme Court and High Court judges. That is why it is wrong to say that there is no factual data in it.

The CJI said these things during the Ram Jethmalani Memorial Lecture at the NDMC Convention Center in Delhi on Friday, September 15. He said that it often happens that people come and have ideas, but they forget when they hand over the responsibility to the next person. However, I look at criticism from an optimistic perspective, which helps improve the system.
