ISKCON’s defamation notice of Rs 100 crore to Maneka Gandhi. ISKCON devotees, supporters and well-wishers are very saddened by the allegations, said

Maneka Gandhi had accused ISKCON in an interview given to a YouTuber.

The International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) on Friday said it has sent a defamation notice of Rs 100 crore to BJP MP Maneka Gandhi. Actually, a video of Maneka had gone viral on social media in which she is saying that ISKCON sells the cows of its cowshed to butchers. The biggest fraudster in India at present is ISKCON.

ISKCON vice-president Radharaman Das said in a statement, “We have sent a notice to Maneka Gandhi for making completely baseless allegations against ISKCON. Das said that the devotees, supporters and well-wishers of ISKCON are deeply saddened by Maneka’s allegations. Das termed Maneka’s allegations as ‘malicious’.

In Mumbai on Friday, the transgender community demonstrated against Maneka Gandhi for accusing ISKCON.

In Mumbai on Friday, the transgender community demonstrated against Maneka Gandhi for accusing ISKCON.

There is not a single old cow in ISKCON’s cow shed in Anantapur.
Former Union Minister Maneka had said that ISKCON established cow shelters, for running which they get countless benefits from the government. They get big lands. Despite this, the cows which do not produce milk are handed over to butchers. There is not even a single calf or even a single dry (old) cow in their cowsheds.

Maneka said these things in an interview given to a YouTuber.

She said that I had gone to a cow shelter of ISKCON in Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh. Not a single cow was found in the cowshed which did not give milk. Nor was any calf found. This clearly means that they (ISKCON) sell the cows and calves which do not give milk.

Maneka said- No one has sold as many cattle to butchers as ISKCON has sold.
Maneka Gandhi said that ISKCON is selling cows to butchers. No one else does it as well as they do. They sing ‘Hare Ram Hare Krishna’ on the streets. Then they say that their entire life depends on milk. Perhaps, no one has sold as many cattle to butchers as ISKCON has. If these people can do this then what can we expect from others.

ISKCON said- Maneka’s allegations are false
ISKCON has denied Maneka Gandhi’s allegations. ISKCON spokesperson Yudhishthir Govind Das said- Maneka Gandhi is saying about the cow shed in Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh, there are more than 250 such cows which do not give milk. There are also hundreds of calves there. Maneka’s allegations are false and baseless.

ISKCON has been at the forefront in the protection and care of cattle not only in India but across the world. Our cows and bulls are cared for throughout their life and not sold to butchers as has been alleged. ISKCON also issued a letter in clarification.

ISKCON is maintaining more than sixty Gaushalas in India, where all the cows, bulls and calves are tended with love and care.

In many of these Gaushalas, cows and bulls are brought in injured or diseased condition, ISKCON Gaushala also takes care of them by a team of volunteers and workers. Praised ISKCON and its initiatives to promote cow care and protection across India for reviving the Sanatana practice of Cow Seva.
