The high peaks of Himachal’s tribal district Lahaul Spiti were covered with a white blanket of snow.

There was fresh snowfall on the high peaks of Himachal Pradesh last night. More than an inch of white snow has spread on Baralacha Top on Manali-Leh road. A lot of snow is being reported on the Sarchu barrier ahead of Baralach. Due to this, slippage has increased on the roads of the area.

Due to this, traffic between Sarchu-Leh has been slightly disrupted. If snowfall continues, the problems will increase further. In such a situation, it would be better for those traveling through this road to stay in Keylong.

This has also increased the cold in the area. Winter has started in the valley. The faces of the tourists who had already arrived in Baralacha and surrounding areas were happy to see the snowfall.

The weather is bad in Lahaul Spiti today, while the weather is forecast to remain clear in other parts of the state including Manali. The sky is lightly cloudy in Shimla. Meanwhile, the monsoon may also depart from the mountains these days.
