Pictures of the royal style of Haryana’s fake Chief Secretary Sarbjit Singh Sandhu have surfaced. In these, he is seen with former soldiers dressed as gunmen. This picture is of a hill station. In which he has made the ex-servicemen wear uniforms like police commandos.

In another photo, he is seen smilingly giving fake visas to people. Police investigation revealed that he had installed furniture worth Rs 70 lakh in his office. Apart from this, 61 bank accounts were opened. Through which he has defrauded people of Rs 35 crore with fake visas. This accused was arrested by Mohali police yesterday.

Know who is Sarbjit Sandhu
Sarbjit Sandhu is a resident of Achint Kot village under Gharinda police station of Amritsar in Punjab. However, he had got the arms license made from a fake address in Rajpura, Patiala. Sandhu is 28 years old and has studied Business Management with BA. There are 5 fraud cases registered against him in Amritsar, Sangrur and Gurdaspur. He had opened his offices at two places in Mohali. One of which was opened in Sector 82 of Mohali and the other in Derabassi. However, the police have now sealed both the offices.

Network spread in Punjab, Haryana, Himachal
The network of fake Chief Secretary Sarbjit Sandhu was spread in Punjab, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh. Sandhu himself was active in Punjab through his office. He had hired 35 year old Rahul from Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh. Who used to arrange fake visa for Sandhu and fake bank accounts in other states including Delhi-Karnataka. Rahul has done MBA Finance degree. His partner in Haryana was Ravi Mishra. Ravi Mishra, a resident of Gurugram, is a science graduate and helped in creating a fake bank account for Sandhu.

Luxury cars recovered from fake Chief Secretary. These include 2 Fortuner, 2 Endeavour, 1 Creta and one Swift. She used to drive in Sandhu’s convoy with red-blue lights.

He would eat 70% himself and share 30% with others.
According to the investigation of Mohali Police, Sarbjit Sandhu used to keep 70% of the fraud amount. The remaining 30% was divided between Ravi and Rahul. It has also been revealed that when people came to ask for money after coming to know about the fraud, Sandhu used to scare them away with his authority and security.

Company in US, travel agents also got caught in this hoax
According to Mohali Police, Sarbjit Sandhu used to say that he has a company registered in the US by the name of Sandhu Transport. He can easily arrange US and Canada visas. For this he will declare people as workers of his company. Even many travel agents got trapped in this trap of Sandhu.

He started sending people to Sandhu for commission. When he gave fake visas, he used envelopes from VFS Global and they also had bar codes on them so that everyone would think that it had come from the embassy. This would have been revealed when people would reach the airport after purchasing tickets and the immigration authorities would stop them there.

What did Mohali Police say in the investigation?
Mohali SSP Sandeep Garg said that Sarbjit Sandhu used to be the Chief Secretary of Haryana. Luxury vehicles were kept for this. Used to move in the form of a convoy. Used to dress former soldiers in uniforms like police commandos. Used to give orders on walkie talkie. Sandhu used to cheat people in the name of immigration. Used to give fake PR certificates to people. Sandhu has made movable and immovable properties worth crores across the country. A case of fraud was registered against him in Kharar police station on 22 September. He has been arrested in this case.
