80 packets of one kg each have been caught on the shore in Gandhidham.

Gujarat Police is continuously busting drug rackets. Gandhidham Police has seized 80 kg of cocaine worth Rs 800 crore. Police believe that drug smugglers have left these packets of drugs due to fear of police surveillance.

Minister of State for Home Harsh Sanghvi praised Gandhidham Police. He said that Gujarat Police has caught as much drugs in two years as Punjab and Haryana have not caught for many years.

Some suspects were preparing for smuggling on Mithiro beach.
Police had received information about smuggling of drugs and other intoxicants in huge quantities in the coastal villages of Gandhidham B Division police station area. Based on the information, the police formed different police teams and carried out effective checking and combing in the coastal villages. The activities of the suspects were continuously monitored.

Meanwhile, the police got the news that preparations were being made to smuggle some quantity of ISMO drugs on the Mithiro coast. On receiving information, police teams immediately reached the spot and seized 80 kg packets of drugs.

80 kg cocaine seized
Gandhidham police was keeping an eye on cocaine for the last several days. This entire operation was conducted on the basis of information received by the police. Police have seized about 80 kg of cocaine. FSL report has also come positive. Action against international accused has also been intensified.

Harsh Sanghvi said that no other state has seized more cocaine than Gujarat Police in recent years. The operation is being conducted after obtaining complete information about where cocaine is being sold and where the major supply is coming from. Gujarat Police is getting success in arresting those accused who have international connections. We have also put many international accused in jail.
