Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave many wonderful gifts to the leaders from all over the world at the G20 Summit, ranging from Kashmiri Pashmina to Jigrana perfume made in Kannauj. While giving gifts, special care has been taken that all the gifts should reflect the culture of India.

Rosangela, wife of Brazilian President Lula da Silva, was given a Kashmir Pashmina shawl. Yuko, wife of Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, was presented with a Kanjeevaram silk saree. Apart from this many other gifts were given. However, the government did not clarify what gifts were given to the other leaders.

PM Modi gifted a chest made from Sheesham wood. A brass band was placed on it. The box holds a special place in the culture and folklore of India. Earlier it was used to keep treasure.

Kashmiri saffron has also been given to G20 leaders by the PM. Saffron is the most expensive spice in the world. It is also known as Jaffran in Persian. Saffron is rich in antioxidants. It is considered very beneficial for health.

Darjeeling tea is the most expensive tea in the world. It is prepared at an altitude of 3000-5000 feet. At the same time, Nilgiri tea is cultivated in South India. It is grown at an altitude of 1000-3000 feet.

4. Jigrana, India’s most famous perfume

The best Jigrana perfume is found in Kannauj district of Uttar Pradesh. It is prepared according to centuries old tradition. Artisans prepare this perfume from flowers like jasmine and rose.

5. Khadi scarf

This scarf is made from cotton, silk, jute or wool. Khadi is also one of the most important symbols of India’s freedom struggle. Mahatma Gandhi had inspired Indians to abandon western clothes and use Khadi.

6. Coin boxes issued by PM Modi

PM Modi had released special G20 postage stamps and coins on 26 July 2023. It was done to commemorate India’s G20 chairmanship. Their designs are on the theme of India’s G20 logo and ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’.

7. Honey from the world’s largest evergreen forest

PM Modi has also given Sundarban honey as a gift to the guests. Let us tell you that Sundarban is the largest evergreen forest in the world. There are wild bees here. The honey of Sundarban is 100 percent pure and very tasty. It contains high amount of flavonoids. This honey is very beneficial for health.

8. The world’s most famous Kashmiri Pashmina shawl

Kashmiri Pashmina shawl is famous all over the world for its luxurious fabric. This shawl is made from very rare fabric. This wool is obtained from Changthangi sheep. For this the sheep’s hair is not sheared. It is combed. Changthangi sheep is found only at an altitude of 14,000 feet. Pashmina shawls are made by skilled artisans using age-old processes. It is made completely by hand.

9. Araku coffee grown in Andhra Pradesh

Araku Coffee is the world’s first terroir mapped coffee. It is grown in organic gardens in Araku Valley of Andhra Pradesh. It is cultivated without the use of chemicals. The aroma of Araku coffee is very special. It is famous for its taste.
