Since January this year, 40 terrorists have been killed in Jammu and Kashmir. Of these, only 8 were locals and all the rest were foreigners.

The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) says the mortality rate from Nipah is between 40 to 70 percent. This is much higher than the death rate due to corona. The death rate from Corona was only 2 to 3 percent. ICMR also said that the reason why Nipah virus spreads in Kerala is not clear.

Why is this news important: Nipah virus spreads to humans from animals like bats and pigs. Till now there is no treatment or injection available for it. According to WHO, patients infected with Nipah virus show symptoms like viral fever along with headache, feeling like vomiting, difficulty in breathing and dizziness.

Why is this news important: According to the data of Bihar State Disaster Management Authority, the number of deaths due to drowning is continuously increasing in the state. 205 people lost their lives due to drowning in the state in 2018.
