A storm accompanied by heavy rain occurred in New York, America on Friday. Due to this, some parts of the city’s metro system were closed. Roads and highways were flooded. Many people were trapped in cars on the roads. Flights were delayed at LaGuardia Airport. New York Governor Kathy Hochul said up to 5 inches (13 centimeters) of rain fell in some areas overnight. Up to 7 inches (18 centimeters) of rain is expected throughout the day.

Small plane of mining company crashes in Zimbabwe, all 6 passengers killed

A small plane belonging to a mining company crashed in Zimbabwe on Friday. Officials said initial reports said all six people on board the plane were killed. Elijah Chingosho, director of Zimbabwe’s Civil Aviation Authority, said the plane belonged to Zimbabwe’s Riozim Ltd. It crashed near the Murova diamond mine in south-western Zimbabwe.
