center says Over 2 lakh Ayushman Bharat beneficiary cards generated in last 3 days | More than 10 lakh people got free medicines, the campaign started on September 17

More than 2 lakh Ayushman Bharat beneficiary cards have been generated in the last three days since the launch of the Ayushman Bhava campaign. The Union Health Ministry gave this information on Thursday. This campaign was started across the country from 17th September. During this period, more than 10 lakh people have received free medicines and more than 8 lakh people have received free treatment.

The ministry said, as part of the Ayushman Bhava campaign, more than 30,000 Ayushman Melas were organized from September 17. The main objective of this campaign is to expand health coverage to every village and town crossing geographical barriers and ensure that no one is left behind.

Cards made through Ayushman App sitting at home
In the third phase of Ayushman Yojana, the process of making the card was made easier. This time people themselves got Ayushman cards made by registering online.

This time in self-registration mode, beneficiaries were given OTP, Iris and Fingerprint and face-based verification options for verification. Registration became possible through smartphone sitting at home. For this, people used Ayushman Card app on their mobile phones.

Free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh every year under the scheme
For this, Ayushman card is issued in the name of the beneficiary. With the help of this card, beneficiaries can get free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh in government and private hospitals listed under the scheme.

Chronic diseases are also covered in the plan. Expenses before and after hospitalization for any illness are covered. Expenses on transport are covered in this.
