Assam Police on Thursday arrested three people for murdering a minor girl and then raping the body.

Among the three arrested accused, one is a railway employee who had an affair with the girl. Police investigation revealed that the accused was pressurizing his girlfriend to have physical relations. When the girl refused, he along with his friends murdered her.

This incident took place in Karimganj district of Assam. According to police officer Partha Pratim Das, the girl was murdered on September 9 at around 11 pm when three accused forcefully entered the victim’s house. They strangled the girl to death and then had sex with her body.

Later, the body of the accused minor was found near Karimganj Town Bypass on September 9.

During the investigation, the police found a mobile number in the notebook of the dead girl and according to that, they arrested three people named Biplab Paul, Shubhra Malakar and Rahul Das.

During interrogation, Rahul Das revealed that he was in a relationship with the girl. He tried to have physical relations, but the girl refused.

Police said, Rahul Das is a fourth class employee of Railways and he was the mastermind of the entire incident. Rahul Das had taken two mobile SIM cards from Shubhra Malakar, which were used by Rahul and the victim girl and they were in constant touch.
