The special session of Parliament is starting from today. The work for the first day of this five-day session will be held in the old Parliament, after which the work will shift to the new Parliament building. The tricolor was hoisted for the first time on the new Parliament building on Sunday. Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar hoisted the flag at the courtyard of the Parliament House. MPs from different parties were present in the program.

BJP’s Smriti Irani, Shiv Sena’s Priyanka Chaturvedi, Trinamool Congress’s Mahua Moitra, Shiromani Akali Dal’s Harsimrat Kaur Badal, Apna Dal’s Anupriya Patel, BJP’s Poonam Mahajan, NCP’s Supriya Sule, Congress’s Ramya Haridas, divisional MP Navneet Rana and Rajya Sabha MP PT Usha bid goodbye to the old building by writing a note.

Smriti Irani Gave good wishes for the commencement of work in the new Parliament building.

Harsimrat Kaur Badal Wrote that from seeing Parliament in 2006 to becoming an MP for the first time in 2009, to becoming a minister for the first time in 2014, I have many memories associated with the 144 pillars of this building. Badal said that this beautiful building, adorned with history and the art of thousands of Indian artists, sculptors and workers, has been a place of deep learning for me.

Priyanka Chaturvedi Wrote- Memories, learning, policy making, friendship. The history of this place and its beautiful architecture, which has seen intense debate and uproar. Political giants and history makers work in this complex. This Parliament has shaped our journey as a strong nation. I am proud to be a part of this journey and hope that the spirit of the old Parliament will remain alive in the new Parliament.

Anupriya Patel Wrote- When I stepped into this building for the first time, I deeply felt that I was entering a historical building which had seen the country gain independence, saw the constitution being made and the democratic institutions of the country growing and Saw it getting stronger.

Mahua Moitra Wrote that this building will always have a special place in my heart, just like one’s first home. This hall embraced us all. It helped us find little corners for ourselves in it. This building was a free space for the freely elected representatives of a free country and it will be our responsibility to ensure that even if the building changes, it remains a symbol of freedom.

Supriya Sule Wrote- I want to express my gratitude to the people of Maharashtra and Baramati for giving me the opportunity to be a part of the world’s largest democracy and the beautiful building of Parliament.

Officials will wear pink Nehru jackets in the new Parliament

Parliament employees will wear new dress while going to the new Parliament building. Nehru jacket and khaki colored pants are included in this dress. According to the Lok Sabha Secretariat, bureaucrats will wear magenta or dark pink Nehru jackets instead of closed neck suits. His shirt will also be in dark pink color with a lotus flower design.
